SAN DIEGO – After nearly two decades as CFO, Scott Heising is re-assuming the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of IFG, a position he held in 2003. The role was previously held by Joe Miller, who joined IFG in 2004 – just one year after Scott founded the company – and who retired in May 2022. With Scott at the helm as both CEO and CFO, IFG will remain in steady hands and continue to fulfill its mission to offer high-touch, low-bureaucracy support to the best advisors in the business.

Lauren Slater has been promoted to Vice President of Operations. Lauren joined IFG in 2019, and oversees all of Operations, including new accounts, cashiering, transfers, trading and margin, and Pershing alternative investment processing. She also provides training to the field on NetX360 and Gateway. During her time with IFG, Lauren has been instrumental in streamlining processes related to account opening, maintenance, and closing. She has worked diligently to launch IFG’s remote Branch Cashiering platform and led the transition to Pershing’s Wealth Solutions platform. “I am so fortunate for the opportunity to be a part of IFG’s continued growth and success,” Lauren said. “I have a passion for Operations and continually strive to provide enhanced capabilities and tools through our Pershing partnership, improve the client experience, and build strong relationships with our advisors.”

Scott Davis has been promoted to Vice President of Finance, in addition to his responsibilities as Corporate Controller. “I’m grateful for the opportunities IFG has provided me,” he said. “We’ve experienced strong growth over the last three years and I look forward to continuing to work with the team to sustain that growth.” During the past three years, Scott Davis has been instrumental in streamlining the accounting process, assuming more responsibility for regulatory reporting, refining our cash management function, and managing IFG’s corporate investments.

Lauren Slater and Scott Davis will report directly to Scott Heising.
