San Diego, CA – Sarah Kreisman has been hired as Chief Legal Counsel and VP of Compliance at Independent Financial Group, LLC (IFG). Ms. Kreisman will report directly to Managing Directors, Scott Heising and Joe Miller.
“Since leaving AIG, I have been looking to get back to helping advisors succeed by providing them with the support and guidance they need to get things done,” says Ms. Kreisman. After graduating with a BA in Art History from Emory University and receiving her law degree from Seton Hall, a 3-month opportunity with Pershing turned into an over 20-year career in the financial services industry. Ms. Kreisman’s career includes 6 years with AIG/SunAmerica and over 10 years with E*TRADE serving in various compliance and legal roles such as Associate Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Over those years her experience includes working with large compliance teams, industry regulators and in client disputes. She holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
